01In brief
- Queue Party has no accounts and asks for no name, email address or location.
- Your progress, coins and settings are stored on your device. We receive none of this information.
- After the third level the game asks for your year of birth. The year is used once to work out an age group and is then discarded; only the age group is stored on your device.
- The game shows advertisements only when you choose to watch one in return for a reward. They are provided by Google.
- For players under 16 the game requests no personalised advertising. Requests for players under 13 are also marked as child-directed.
- The game currently contains no purchases with real money.
02Who is responsible
Queue Party is published by MercanWorks OÜ, registry code 17413775, Paavli tn 5a/1, 10412 Tallinn, Estonia (“MercanWorks”, “we”). You can reach us at info@mercanworks.com or by telephone on +372 553 6572.
This policy applies to the Queue Party app for Android (application ID com.mercanworks.queueparty). The game is in testing and has not yet been released in an app store; test versions show Google’s test advertisements. The policy describes the version prepared for release.
03Data stored on your device
The game saves the following information in its private storage area on your device:
- the level you have reached and your stars
- your coins and boosters
- your settings for sound, vibration, graphics quality and language
- statistics, achievements, your daily login series and the progress of daily and weekly tasks, with the dates they relate to
- which tutorials you have seen
- your age group
This information stays on your device. It is not linked to your identity and we have no access to it. The game also keeps a copy of its own files on the device so that it starts quickly.
04The age question
After you have completed three levels, the game asks for your year of birth. No advertisement is requested before you have answered. The year you select is used once, on your device, to work out an age group. It is not stored and not sent to anyone.
There are three age groups: under 13, 13 to 15, and 16 or over. Because the game asks only for the year, it assumes the youngest age that the year allows. If you choose “I would rather not say”, the game treats you as under 13.
The age group is stored on your device and determines how advertisements are requested. It cannot be changed inside the game; it is reset if you clear the app’s storage in your device settings. We use the age group to apply the advertising settings that protect younger players. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in meeting the rules on the protection of minors (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
05Advertising
What kind of advertising the game shows
Queue Party shows rewarded video advertisements only. An advertisement starts only after you press a button that names the reward, for example doubling the reward for a level or using a booster that you do not have. The game shows no banners, no advertisements between levels and no advertisements at start-up.
Who provides it and what data is involved
The advertisements are delivered by Google AdMob through Google’s advertising software built into the game. For players in the EEA and Switzerland the provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; for players in the United Kingdom and all other countries it is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Once the age question has been answered, this software connects to Google directly from your device. According to Google, it then collects your IP address, from which a general location is derived, your interactions with the app and with advertisements, diagnostic information such as loading times, and device and account identifiers. For players aged 16 or over who have given their consent, these identifiers can include the advertising ID of the device. Google uses the data for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention.
Google decides independently how it uses this data. Under Google’s data protection terms for advertising services, Google and we each act as an independent controller, and Google is bound towards us to comply with the data protection law that applies to it, which gives the data the same level of protection as this policy describes. Google explains its use of the data in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and in its privacy policy. From Google we receive only summarised reports, for example how many advertisements were shown and what they earned. We do not receive your IP address, your advertising ID or a profile of you.
How your age group changes the advertising
- Under 13: every request is marked as child-directed. Google then shows no personalised advertising, does not transmit the advertising ID of the device and admits only advertising sources that are certified for apps used by children. Only advertisements rated suitable for a general audience are requested. No consent form is displayed.
- 13 to 15: every request carries Google’s setting for users below the age of digital consent. That age lies between 13 and 16 depending on the country; the game applies the setting to everyone under 16, so that the strictest national rule is met everywhere. Google then shows no personalised advertising, including remarketing, and makes no requests to third-party advertising vendors. Players in this group are not asked to consent to personalised advertising.
- 16 or over: before the advertising software is started, Google’s consent form asks whether you agree to the storage of and access to information on your device and to personalised advertising. Advertising is personalised only if you agree. If you do not agree, Google shows at most limited, non-personalised advertisements, and rewarded advertisements may be unavailable.
Legal bases
Non-personalised advertising is selected from the context, such as the app and the general location, and not from a profile of the player. We rely on our legitimate interest in financing a free game through advertising that players choose to watch (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). For players aged 16 or over, personalised advertising and the storage of or access to information on the device for advertising purposes take place only on the basis of consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which Google’s consent form collects for Google and for us. Players under 16 are not asked for consent; for them advertising is limited to the non-personalised delivery described above. In that mode Google still uses technical information on the device as far as this is needed to deliver an advertisement, to limit how often it is shown and to prevent fraud.
Your choices
Watching advertisements is voluntary; the game can be played without them. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. In the settings of your Android device, under Privacy or Google and then Ads, you can delete or reset the advertising ID and switch off ad personalisation; this ends personalised advertising without affecting your game. Clearing the app’s storage in your device settings also resets your choice, so that the game asks again, but it deletes your saved progress as well. My Ad Center offers further settings if you use a Google account.
06Purchases
Queue Party currently offers no purchases with real money. The entries in the in-game shop are marked “Soon” and cannot be bought. Before purchases are activated, we will update this policy and explain which data the app store and any payment service process.
07Sharing a result
If you press the share button, the game passes a short text with your level and stars to the sharing function of your device. You decide whether to send it and with which app. The game itself sends nothing.
08How the data is protected
The saved information is kept in the storage area that Android reserves for the game, which other apps cannot read. Google states that all data collected by its advertising software is encrypted in transit. We hold no player data on our own systems.
09Device backup
If you have switched on the backup service of your Android device, the device may include the game’s saved data, including the age group, in the backup of your Google account so that it can be restored on a new device. This backup is controlled by your device settings and by Google. We have no access to it.
10Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Google processes advertising data on servers worldwide, including in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; for other transfers Google uses the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Google’s privacy policy contains the details.
11Storage period and deletion
The information stored on your device remains there until you delete it. To delete it, open the settings of your device, select Apps, Queue Party and Storage, and choose “Clear storage” (on some devices “Clear data”), or uninstall the game. The “Reset progress” button in the game’s settings clears your progress but keeps the age group.
We keep no player data on our own systems. Google keeps advertising data for the periods described in its privacy policy. Uninstalling the game does not delete data that Google has already collected; requests concerning that data are made to Google.
12Children and parents
Queue Party is made for a general audience and can also be played by children. The game has no accounts, no chat, no purchases and, apart from the link to this privacy policy, no links to websites or social networks. An advertisement appears only after the player presses a reward button.
We do not collect personal data from children ourselves. For players under 13, advertisements are requested from Google with the child-directed setting. Google then disables personalised advertising and remarketing, does not transmit the advertising ID of the device and admits only advertising sources that are certified for apps used by children.
Parents and guardians can ask us at any time what the game does with data, and can ask us to delete any information a child has sent us by email. Write to info@mercanworks.com.
13Your rights
We hold no data that identifies you as a player, so we cannot look up or delete advertising data on Google’s systems for you. You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection regarding advertising data directly with Google, using the tools and contact options in its privacy policy.
Regarding data that we hold about you, for example from correspondence, you can exercise the same rights, and your right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, by writing to info@mercanworks.com. We reply within one month. Our website privacy policy explains the procedure. Comparable rights under the law of your country apply in the same way.
14Complaints
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in particular in the EEA country where you live. The authority responsible for us is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon), Tatari 39, 10134 Tallinn, Estonia, info@aki.ee, +372 627 4135, www.aki.ee.
15Additional information for players in Türkiye
If you live in Türkiye, the Turkish Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (KVKK) may apply in addition. The data controller is MercanWorks OÜ, which is established in Estonia. The data described in this policy is collected automatically through Google’s advertising software in the game and goes directly from your device to Google, which is located outside Türkiye.
The legal grounds under Article 5 of the KVKK are our legitimate interests for the age question and for non-personalised advertising (Article 5(2)(f)) and your explicit consent, given in Google’s consent form, for personalised advertising (Article 5(1)). Without your explicit consent no personalised advertising is shown.
Your rights under Article 11 of the KVKK and the way to apply are described in our website privacy policy. You can apply in Turkish to info@mercanworks.com; we reply within 30 days. You may then lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Board within the time limits described there.
16Changes
We will update this policy before a version of the game is released that processes data differently, for example when purchases or a cloud save are added. The date shown on this page identifies the current version.
